Sidewalk may process the following categories of data so core features work:

• Step count data from Apple motion and fitness APIs on your iPhone.
• Agent status events from supported desktop tools (for example, "working" and "needs you").
• Optional captures or notes you create in the app.
• Basic technical logs used for troubleshooting app reliability.

How we use information

• To show your steps and progress while your agent runs.
• To notify you when your agent needs attention.
• To sync app state between your paired Mac and iPhone.
• To diagnose bugs and improve performance.

Where your data is stored

Sidewalk is built as a local-first product. App data is primarily stored on your devices and synced over your local network between your Mac and iPhone. We do not require a Sidewalk account to use core features.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We only share data when required by law, or with service providers needed to operate the product (for example, infrastructure or support tools), under contractual privacy protections.

Data retention

Data kept on your devices remains there until you remove it. If we receive support emails or bug reports, we keep those records only as long as necessary to resolve issues and meet legal obligations.

Your choices

• You can deny motion or notification permissions in iOS settings.
• You can stop using the app at any time and uninstall it from your devices.
• You can contact us to request deletion of support correspondence associated with your email.

Children's privacy

Sidewalk is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Policy updates

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date on this page.
